Construct Up Through
Utilizing industrial materials and primitive constructing methods, this piece was built in response to a specific space,and was designed in response to the needs required to build up. Process played a large roll in the end product, with the resolution not be realized until the final piece was placed. Like a contemporary totem, this piece stands like an static shrine, but with a less magical presence, spirituality in the 21st century? This work stands like a monolith, but employs negative space in a way that makes it feel light. Conversely the work wraps in a concave shape, allowing the piece to wrap around the viewer.
